形态描述
吻长而突出。眼缘游离，眼下刺分叉。上唇具皱褶，在口角处与下唇相连。上、下颌较宽，分别与上、下唇相分离。须4对，其中颏须1对。腹鳍基部起点与背鳍第2分枝鳍条之基部相对。躯体被鳞。侧线完全。
生物学
A spined loach,the length is about 120-200 mm. It is found in the Irrawaddy River and the Nujiang River. It inhabits the rapid current of the streams over gravelly beds. This species is a delicious food fish.
